KeyboardFest 2021 report was shared and although enrollment was down due to COVID-19 restrictions/illnesses, it was still a big success! success! Thanks to all the piano teachers who helped to make this event possible, and worked hard to follow the Covid-19 precautions. There were 209 piano students who participated in the event. (Last year there were 253 piano students who participated in KeyboardFest.) A total of 645 tickets were sold for the event.

The need for more volunteers to help out during the night of the performance of KeyboardFest was also expressed during the meeting.

SAT Exams for 79 students to be taken place on March 12, 2022 were talked about.

Jim Hohmeyer and George Widiger presented an outstanding program for the piano teachers entitled, “How To Teach Improvisation in the Lesson.” The goal in presenting this program was to help develop in all music students the connection between eyes, ears and fingers.
