Hello everyone!
First off, to let you know that registration will be happening the last week of August. I will be handling that. Everyone needs to send me your lists of your students, piano numbers and set and part requests with waiting list requests as well via email to melanieazimmer@aol.com I will then be registering them. Make sure you give me a second and third choice, as your first choice may already be taken by the time I get to your registration. Also indicate if you want mp3 of the KBFT pieces. I will send you your registration paperwork and order forms that will be going to Herter and MMMTA for music and your registration billing to send the checks to Linda Harp. PLEASE GET THE LISTS TO ME NO LATER THAN AUG 25. I will start registering students on the 26th and hope to be done by the end of the week!
If you have not paid your MNTA dues by that date…I will not be able to register your students!!!!! I have a current list from Linda of those who have paid their dues. If you know that you are not on it…when you pay your dues, request a copy of your dues to be sent to both Linda and to me! That will assure that we both know that your dues are paid, and I will be able to register you. This has been a rule for a long time, but we have been very lax on this…we have decided we need to crack down on this, so please understand that it is important, because KBFT is a benefit of membership of MMMTA!
Secondly:
If you have duties that you normally perform for KBFT, or something you do from time-to-time, please send a note to me outlining what you do…and if it has procedures, please list the procedures for me. We are trying to get a grip on all the jobs that are performed to make KBFT go. We are finding there are a lot of jobs that Penny and I are not totally aware of, and we need to have a full guide of everything it takes to make KBFT run!
Thirdly:
If you have suggestions for things to better the running of KBFT, please send me note, and Penny and I will talk about your ideas and see if it is something that we might want to implement in the future.
FYI:
We have raised the ticket prices this year to $10 for adults and $8 for students. [The Student fee is $10. ]We also have kept the start time for KBFT at 7 pm as some of the teachers who have to travel on Saturday have requested no change due to their travel time between rehearsal and performance.
Lastly:
Penny has sent out KBFT Folders to those who have requested them. If you are planning to participate, have paid your dues, and would like one… email her at penvanderk@gmail.com and she will send you one.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
